COBRA Administration
COBRA compliance is complex, deadline-driven, and unforgiving. Eagles handles every notice, every payment, and every carrier coordination — so you never miss a step.
What Is COBRA?
The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) requires employers with 20 or more employees to offer continuation of group health coverage to employees and their dependents who lose coverage due to a qualifying event — such as termination, reduction in hours, divorce, or a dependent aging off the plan.
COBRA administration is one of the most compliance-sensitive areas of benefits management. Missed notices, incorrect timelines, or improper premium collection can expose employers to significant penalties. Eagles eliminates that risk.
Qualifying Events We Handle
- Voluntary or involuntary termination of employment
- Reduction in hours below benefit eligibility threshold
- Employee death (coverage for dependents)
- Divorce or legal separation
- Dependent child aging off the plan
- Medicare entitlement of the covered employee
- Employer bankruptcy (for retirees and dependents)
- State continuation (mini-COBRA) for smaller employers
